To my Nanny,
The lady who looked after me so well I used to get confused and call you Mum by mistake. Thank you for spending almost a decade carrying snotty tissues round ready to pick out my ‘candlesticks’ if need be, for all the chocolate we ate sneakily in the garage away from Grandad, the macaroni pudding on a cold winters night, the stories and cuddles that I’ll never forget.
I will never forget you and the impact you made on me, I am so lucky to have had you for so long and to have been so close to you for all these years. I bet the angels cheered when you got home, and I hope they cherish you as much as we did.
In my heart forever,
Soph xxx
